Very old, well-preserved seaman's trunk

Region: South China (Canton / Guangzhou)

• Material: solid hardwood, likely cedar or camphor wood (slightly aromatic scent, repels insects)
• Use: storage chest of sailors or traveling merchants; sturdy construction, often used for clothing

I got it from my great-uncle who went to sea. Unfortunately it no longer fits in my apartment.
